Welcome to the kickoff meeting for a new Indy EA User Group.  This event will be hosted by KAR Auction Servcies at our corporate offices at 13085 N. Hamilton Crossing Blvd in Carmel, IN.

The proposed topic for first meeting is:

Introduce your EA Program

Address as many of these questions as appropriate:
  • Describe what your organization considers to be Enterprise Architecture.
  • How is your EA team structured?
  • Where does your EA program report within the IT organization chart? Does that reporting facilitate or hinder the EA program?
  • What was the genesis for your EA program?
  • What were some of the first challenges that the EA program was expected to address?
  • What is the EA program engagement model with other IT groups? With non IT groups?
  • Does your program follow a published framework? If so, how much of the framework have you tried to implement? With what success?
  • How does your EA program interact with your IT Service Management (ITIL?) programs?
  • What kind of artifacts does the EA team maintain? What kind of workflow / governance do you follow to sustain these artifacts? What are the challenges you face keeping them up to date, and how have you addressed these challenges?
  • What key initiatives is EA leading at your company?
  • Is EA driving internal IT processes (e.g. SDLC, ITIL, etc)?
  • Is EA driving any R&D or Innovation initiatives? If so, what benefits have been realized
